About the Job:

As General Accounting Manager at Mandarin Oriental Paris, you will be responsible for overseeing all general accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the hotel’s financial records. You will play a key role in financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end and year-end closing processes, while working closely with the Finance leadership team and other departments.

As General Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Supervise and review all general accounting entries, including expenses, revenues, fixed assets, provisions, payroll entries, and closing entries.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial data.
  • Prepare and produce financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounts applicable accounting standards and current tax regulations.
  • Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of recurring tax filings.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, chartered accountants, auditors, and tax authorities.
  • Manage, support, and develop the finance team, fostering skills development and professional growth.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal procedures, and reporting tools.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects with accounting impact (system upgrades, reorganizations, growth initiatives).

As General Accounting Manager, we expect from You:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general accounting, including a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within the hospitality or luxury industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proven experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Fluency in French and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
