Our Hotel

With 326 guest rooms and 31 suites, Mandarin Oriental, Miami is located in Brickell Key and is a prime location for both business and leisure guests.  It is an urban resort with Miami’s only private beach.

Overview of Position

Inventory

  • Assist with conducting physical inventory of retail items on a quarterly basis
  • Assist with conducting monthly physical count of select retail items.
  • Update information as needed for the transfer to Adaco inventory.

Retail Management

  • Assist in oversee day to day Retail performance, monitoring sales results and tracking sales by brand
  • Create incentive programs to motivate staff and drive revenue.
  • Assist with overseeing stock levels and displays of the retail outlets on a daily basis.
  • Assist with searching for innovative retail ideas suitable for high end boutiques.
  • Ensure pricing is correctly marked on items for sale as well as updated in spa software.
  • Assist with informing colleagues of new retail products and discontinued items
  • Assist with daily training to ensure team is knowledgeable about all retail products offered.
  • Assist in proposing strategies for increasing retail sales.
  • Help promote Spa Retail & Karma Giftshop by coordinating trunk shows
  • Propose and implement retail promotions.

Purchasing/ Administrative

  • Track and monitor incentive programs, internal as well as incentives offered by vendors.
  • Prepare product requests for Adaco.
  • Set up new vendors with Adaco – Finance.
  • Prepare purchase orders in a timely manner for the retail outlets as requested, ensuring competitive pricing is obtained.
  • Enter internal outlet requisition transfers.
  • Receive incoming orders, conducting physical checks
  • Enter items or quantities in Spasoft
  • Track items received throughout the month, assisting with end of month reconciliation for Spa and Karma retail.
  • Send sales reports to vendors as requested at month end.
  • Update and maintain product information in Spa Soft.

Requirements

• Have a minimum of 2 years experience in the similar position, preferably in a luxury setting.

• Flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Have excellent communication and organization skills.

• Must be able to work in a high-pace and dynamic operation. 

• Must be detailed oriented, excellent computer skills necessary.

• Have a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner.

• Excellent organizational skills and communication skills are necessary.

• Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.

• Able to handle multiple tasks at one time.

• Able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest.

• Able to handle guest requests in a detailed manner.
