Mandarin Oriental, Hangzhou is a forthcoming five-star luxury hotel set within the prestigious Westlake 66 mixed-use development, near the UNESCO-listed West Lake. Scheduled to open in 2026, the hotel will feature 194 elegantly designed guestrooms and suites, complemented by four restaurants and bars, extensive meeting and event spaces, and world-class wellness facilities including a signature spa, fitness centre, and indoor pool. Blending contemporary sophistication with cultural heritage, the hotel is designed as a serene retreat in one of China’s most vibrant cities, offering seamless access to Hangzhou’s key business districts and leisure attractions.

As Director of Revenue Management, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Proactively manage inventory for the Hotel to maximize revenue in all areas.
  • Ensure a consistent and rational pricing and yield strategy across all channels and all segments according to the MO pricing guidelines.
  • Accurately prepare Monthly and Weekly Forecasts for all transient segments, group, and other business units.
  • Participate in the preparations of the transient and group rooms budgets, with the input of sales and contribute to the development of the transient and group portion of the Hotel's marketing plan.
  • Proactively provide data to the team for the purpose of analysing and evaluating specific business segments, specific accounts, market segment mix (Group vs. Transient and its sub-segments), room type demand, channel production and geographical mix, recognizing trends and patterns.
  • Proactively analyse and communicate business trends and booking pace to revenue team in comparison to the market, last year, forecast and budget.
  • Continually analyse transient demand, price sensitivity and booking patterns, recognize trends and their relevance to one another and provide pricing, inventory and selling strategy recommendations.
  • Assist in providing recommendations for Corporate and Leisure account strategies based on past production and future expectations.
  • Assist in developing 3-month, 6-month, and 12-months strategic action plans for the management of the transient revenues.
  • Work with the Sales Department and define booking terms, conditions, and allotments for all transient segments.

As Director of Revenue Management , we expect from you:

  • Degree in related discipline
  • Experience of related revenue management and optimization experience, preferably with an international luxury hotel chain company
  • Excellent understanding and experience in revenue management and pricing strategies
  • Comprehensive understanding of key analytical tools (Tableau, Business Objects, SQL, etc.)
  • Proven ability and track record in identifying growth opportunities and converting them into successful outcomes
  • Possess commercial acumen and an analytical mind
  • Proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin): Fluent verbal and written Chinese language skills to effectively communicate with local partners, OTA account managers, and internal teams.
  • Expertise in the Local Market Inside China: Deep, firsthand knowledge of the specific city/market dynamics, including local competitors, feeder markets, corporate accounts, travel patterns, events, and seasonal fluctuations. Ability to translate local market intelligence into actionable revenue strategies.
