Chef de Partie Breakfast (M/W/D)

The Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is located in the heart of the Old Town, in the main business center, close to the city's leisure attractions and just a short walk from the shores of Lake Zurich. The Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich has 80 guest rooms and suites and three dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a lobby lounge. The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.

As a Chef de Partie Breakfast, you will be responsible for the following duties:   

• Managing the breakfast station in the kitchen and ensuring a smooth workflow in compliance with quality and hygiene standards
• Ensuring impeccable preparation, quality and attractive presentation of our cuisine in line with our high-quality standards
• Ensuring that food waste is kept to a minimum
• Creative support in the development of new food concepts
• Food orders in coordination with the supervisor as well as controlling the daily merchandise receiving
• Responsible for the daily control of hygiene regulations and cleanliness according to HACCP guidelines

As a Chef de Partie Breakfast, we expect from you:   

• A completed apprenticeship as a cook. 2-3 years of work experience in a similar function - preferably in the upscale hotel/catering industry.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts
• Eye for detail and creativity - to bring your culinary signature to the table
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills 
• Strong leadership skills - to manage your own station
• High level of commitment as well as a structured, result-oriented and independent work style
• High quality awareness 
• Good German and English skills.
