About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair within the Housekeeping Department in London, the Laundry Assistant is responsible for delivering smooth running of Housekeeping and Laundry operations. Will have natural ability to interact with both guests and colleagues and has great attention to detail. The Laundry Assistant reports to the Executive Housekeeper.

As Laundry Assistant, you will responsible for the following duties:

• Ensuring a general knowledge of all public area facilities and services in order to provide guests and residents with accurate information if required.
• Being responsible for guest requests relating to measuring, repair and alterations.
• Collecting and delivering guest garments in a timely manner.
• Processing guest garments following the laundry list. This can include washing, drying, ironing, steaming, altering, folding.

As Laundry Assistant, we expect from you:

To be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 40 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary from morning, afternoon, and evening shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
